Subtitle: The Epic Fail that is Chub

Yes it’s true. I chose to stop Optix Server. I kept it running four long years and it was a huge drain on my social and financial life. But even though the biggest filesharing network Clemson has seen is down, I am still forced to deal with the faggotry left behind by Cosmos.

The network known as Chub have yet again defiled the name i created. Since Chub took the name http://optix_server again, I asked them to link to my homepage, http://www.hybridoptix.net instead, he copied my page and removed all the links. So you can’t find the new network http://www.tarpix.net What have I done to him? Nothing.

Also, I’ve heard he claimed he took apart optix. Optix is not apart, nor did it stop working. It sits here, in my living room hooked up to a TV. Some people have even asked to come by and get stuff still. In fact, if you want something let me know. You can stop by my apartment someday.

What about Waste? Isn’t it gone too? Now, Waste is even better this year. The new admin wrote an installer that configures everything for you. It even updates your client if you have the old one installed. Ask the guys at Tarpix about it. Oh, and Waste is STILL more secure than DC++ ever will be.

Now I don’t care what network you use, but seriously. Tell Taternuts to shut the fuck up. He didn’t create any filesharing network, he was handed one. He has done nothing new, and he’s even copying Cosmos’s bullshit tactics. Want bragging rights? DO SOMETHING. Don’t wave around someone else’s rainbow flag. I may have been rude to users in the past but I never flat out lied to them. Seriously, get your act together.

And seriously people…If you want to know something about optix, ASK ME. I’m still alive and kicking, and seeing how i own the damn thing, i’m pretty sure i’ll have all the answers. Anyways, when you’re done reading send this to everyone you know. I want to stop these retarded rumors from going around. It pisses me off…

So apparently my live journal plugin to post pictures and link to their profile doesn’t like itself. I recently modified the html tag so that it would be more compatible with the real LJ and also XHTML compatible. This sent my site into a nice little endless loop of mysql connections that my host didn’t like..All better now that the server is responding >_>

Kevin Rose and friends are attempting to create a new social network of some sort. It has a fake IM client, as well as oversized facebook wall. I’m not certain what i think of it yet, but it’s fast for uploading files. They were even kind enough to integrate an audio player for mp3’s. The client is a little sketch but we’ll see what the final product looks like. I’ve got 4 more invites, who wants one? (Leave a comment on the blog if you like what you see)
