Kevin Rose and friends are attempting to create a new social network of some sort. It has a fake IM client, as well as oversized facebook wall. I’m not certain what i think of it yet, but it’s fast for uploading files. They were even kind enough to integrate an audio player for mp3’s. The client is a little sketch but we’ll see what the final product looks like. I’ve got 4 more invites, who wants one? (Leave a comment on the blog if you like what you see)

Gentoo exists purely to make anyone who is not a complete, 100% hardcore Linux geek bleed from the eyes, ears and nose. I think I’d rather eat my young than have to admin a Gentoo box.
For webservers, I use CentOS. For my 2nd laptop, I use Ubuntu.

So i just finished watching this since i’m obsessed with Miyazaki’s work. But this wasn’t the legendary Miyazaki, it was his son’s directoral debut.
Apparently Hayao Miyazaki originally planned to do a movie based on Earthsea but the author only knew of Miyazaki’s work as disney type material. Then he saw other films and pulled the big “Oh shit…” yeah..good job 
But when the author contacted Miyazaki to do the film, he was busy with the epic Howl’s Moving Castle. Oh look at that, the DVD is right above my bed. Loved that..anyways. In short, the movie was only ok. I wouldn’t rush out to rent it or anything, in fact i’d rather watch another Hayao film. But for those of you who love Studio Ghibli go ahead it’s still a beautiful film. Read the full post for spoilers.
